Our "Laban O Bawi" Special for this week happened last May 16 —

HOST: Ang Persian, Siamese at Burmese ay mga breed ng anong "C" na hayop?

CONTESTANT: "C" – lion?

* * *

And here’s another winner, which happened during the taping of "Kaya Mo ‘To!" of "Eat Bulaga" last May 17. The contestants were impersonators —

HOST: Anong holiday ang may media noche?

CONTESTANT: Holiday Inn!

* * *

Now, what jokes can you come up with those two funny and real incidents? I have two —

Q: Anong "K" ang lion? (Lion King s’yempre, pero dehins)

A: Katol!

Q: Ano ang "C" na hotel? (Carlton, Calatrava, Caesars, California… ang dami, kaya lang para kwela…)

A: "C" angri-La!

At present, aside from TKO or the "Todo Knock Out" portion of "Eat Bulaga," "Laban O Bawi" and "Kaya Mo ‘To" are two of our show’s main attractions that I look forward to doing. These are just few of the reasons why we can say that we really enjoy what we are doing. And that’s the main key why we’ve been in this business for nearly 26 years now! Yes, we are entertainers, but you just can’t imagine how much personal entertainment we get from doing "Eat Bulaga." To some who are familiar with television life, especially in a daily grind like ours, they know that a great deal of time during commercial and host breaks, the hosts are entertaining one another. And there are many forms and ways of making these "side shows" happen. What happens in front of the cameras are nothing compared to what happens behind — They are funnier and crazier. Really, this grind is grand for us.

I don’t know with the other shows, but if an old timer from "Eat Bulaga" says the line, "Kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa inyo (meaning the audience and viewers) dahil kung wala kayo, wala rin po kami…" — totoo ‘yun.

Yes, totoo talaga ‘yun. Mahirap nalang magsalita eh. With "Eat Bulaga," hindi na pera ang usapan dito eh. The question is: "Nag-e-enjoy pa ba kami?"

Of course, the contra-vidas and the smart asses would ask: "Nag-e-enjoy pa kaya ang audience sa inyo?"

Well, here’s your answer: WE KNOW.

* * *

We would like to welcome in the show an old and new face… Well, just forget what I said … "old and new face" sounded like she underwent a Belo or a Calayan procedure. I’ll just say, "twenty-year-OLD and NEW host for ‘Eat Bulaga.’" Her name is Julia Clarete.

The next Saturday after this coming Saturday, you will see An-An Claudio in "Wow Maling-Mali’s" "Wow Maling-Malita," featuring his gossip girl in "Tsika Mainit" named Lumen Pia Guanio… in short, LumPia Guanio. That’s at 9 p.m. on ABC-5.

But tonight is "Nuts Entertainment" and "Balakubak" on GMA-7. We know you know.
