As the "simultaneous public hearings on jueteng" has begun, two Senate commitees are attempting to identify the personalities benefitting from the age-old gambling operations, and to determine the feasibility of legalizing the multi-billion-peso game. But critics say that this is just a waste of taxpayers money and only look like "a fishing expedition" just like in the past Senate investigations.
