They don’t really know what to call themselves. Twenty-one year olds Ryan Garaygay and Jengjeng Mandolado, 22-year olds Kip Oebanda and Mehlan Josol, and 20-year old Angelica Joyce Gacutno are five of the 30 finalists in the search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP).


When Dr. Daisaku Ikeda began writing children’s tales, he only meant to put to good use his superb story telling and literary talent for the benefit of his organization’s children. Ikeda, an educator of the highest order, knew that to make significant changes in the world, he needed to begin at home. He had to start with the young, shapeable minds of the next generation.
