Solons discard elegant clothes to join protest

They ditched their glamorous ternos and elegant barongs.

Mixed reactions from the education sector met President Arroyo’s speech as she boasted of additional 30,000 classrooms in four years and the additional support for the country’s embattled pre-need education plans.

Former President Fidel V. Ramos was urged yesterday by his former allies to reassess his position on the current political crisis, withdraw his support from President Arroyo and join forces with the group of retired Gen. Fortunato Abat that is demanding for the resignation of the President.
