Doctor-prescribed weight-loss treatment Xenical, was given an over-the-counter approval by the Bureau of Food and Drugs, and was also certified safe for use of children with obesity, aged 12 years and above. This was disclosed recently during an event called "Xenical to a new you," held at the Rizal Ballroom of Shangri-La Makati, and organized by pharmaceutical company Roche Philippines (manufacturer of Xenical).
