Kuala Lumpur’s Sojourns of luxury

Brimming with Malaysian hospitality, The Legend Hotel and The Grand Seasons Hotel are the ones on top of mind, be it for business and pleasure, here in Kuala Lumpur.

These hotels boast of a cross of flavors that integrates innovativeness with contemporary designs, and focused on giving its discerning customers a premium value for their patronage.

The Legend Hotel

Step into The Legend Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and enter a world of luxury and refinement. The 5-star hotel is situated above The Mall, a 6-floor premier shopping center, opposite the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) and within the city’s main commercial district.

Apart from its 620 luxurious rooms, suites and fully-serviced apartments, the hotel is also known for its penthouses, the Marilyn Monroe and Topkapi penthouses located on the 34th floor of the hotel.

Marilyn Monroe Penthouse, named after the famous superstar, represents the lifestyle of the legend herself. The two-bedroom residence spans approximately 3,000 square feet and hosts a spacious dining and lounge area, a master and second bedroom, karaoke den and a kitchen. With its contemporary furnishings, state-of-the-art appliances and household amenities, Marilyn symbolizes power and glamour, definitely a perfect hide-out for honeymooners.

Across the hallway is the exotic and extraordinary Topkapi Penthouse, a replica of Istanbul’s famed palace. Topkapi takes up more than 5,000 square feet and has already hosted a long list of the rich and famous. Apart from custom-made furnishings, fabrics and artifacts were imported from around the world. The tiles are specially flown in from Spain, fabrics from United Kingdom, raw cotton from Sri Lanka, artifacts from Morocco and Egyptian glassware from Persia.

Both Marilyn and Topkapi penthouses provide a sanctuary that caters for the lifestyle and needs of both chieftains and jet-setters.

One of the more popular Chinese restaurants here is the Museum. Aside from the promise of a unique culinary feast, it also showcases a collection of artifacts, sculptures and paintings for diners to view. Recipient of the 1995 Tourism Malaysia Award for Best Chinese Cuisine and Best Service Award during the Great Hong Kong Eating Adventure in 1996, Museum offers an extensive selection of exotic and contemporary dishes and is well-known for its dim sum, shark’s fin soup, bird’s net and fresh seafood dishes.

Highly recommended are its signature dishes including Braised Shark’s Fin Pearl with Bamboo Piths, Braised South African Abalone, Roast Chicken with Garlic Mongolian Style, Imperial Duck and Crispy Beancurd wrapped with Egg Pancake, Grilled Lamb Cutlets with Mongolian Sauce, and Poached slice Goose and Beancurd in Deluxe Soya Sauce.

Also at Legend Hotel are the Berisi Lounge, Di-Atas Brasserie, Gen Japanese Restaurant and The Monkey Bar.
