Taiwanese stars of ‘Frog Prince’ leap all over Manila today

The cast of Taiwan’s record-breaking drama series, "Frog Prince," will visit Manila today, Oct. 10, to promote the Chinovela which would premiere on GMA Network on the same date, replacing "All For Love." Chinovela fans would surely be screaming with excitement as "Frog Prince" stars Joe Chen, Ming Dao, Sam Wang, and Joyce Zhao, with the hit boy group 183 Club, take Manila by storm from Oct. 10 to 14 with a fans day and several guestings on GMA-7 shows.

Joe Chen, star of the Chinovela "Twin Sisters (100 percent Señorita)," that hooked so many Filipinos and who is a certified Kapuso since she appeared in the GMA primetime series "Sugo," stars with Taiwanese heartthrob Ming Dao, who will soon make Chinovela fans fall in love in "Frog Prince," which is Taiwan’s biggest series to date, having surpassed all records in Taiwan.

The fairy tale begins with the beautiful Charlene (Joe Chen), who loves the fairy tale story "The Frog Prince" because of the moving feeling she imagines she will get when faced with the Prince. However, she also thinks that kissing a frog is an extremely disgusting matter, even if it is in a dream. At an early age, she realized the importance of money, since her deceased father left them a lot of debts. Moreover, Charlene became influenced by her stepmother’s mindset that "to maintain a family, one needs to be thrifty; and to make money, one needs to use lowly tricks."

Meanwhile, Ronald (Ming Dao) is the new General Manager of Senwell Hotel. Having grown up with and been exposed to power at a young age, he is able to make strong-minded decisions on many things. He believes that Janice (Joyce Zhao), an orphan who lives in his home, will be his bride when they grow up.

Witness how these two very different people would meet and fall for each other in this fun, entertaining, and certainly romantic Taiwanese series. Also catch the beautiful stars of "Frog Prince" and 183 Club in their Manila visit from Oct. 10 to 14.

The fairy tale "Frog Prince" begins on Oct. 10, airing from Monday to Friday at 5:30 p.m. replacing "All For Love" on GMA Asianovelas, the Heart of Asia.
