ACCORDING to Wikipedia, Nautilus is a living marine creature that inhabits coral reefs in the Western Pacific. With a prominent head and undifferentiated tentacles, the bony structure of the Nautilus is also externalized as a spiral shell for protection and buoyancy. Its name comes from the word "nautilus" which means "sailor."

I ended my one-week-vacation/tour in Korea by, what else, shopping in Dong Dae Mun Market with my mom and grandma. Dong Dae Mun (which means Great East Gate in Korean) is the largest wholesale and retail shopping district. Greenhills and Divisoria are nothing compared to Dong Dae Mun—with over 26 shopping malls and markets covering 10 whole blocks!

IF you’re looking for old-school rock and roll served up with new-gen spunk, catch a gig of The Bloomfields. No one can do a better job of freewheeling thine ears into chitty-chitty-bang-bang nostalgia than this happy band of young musicians who will bring you back to a time when Elvis asked you to be his teddy bear, the Turtles serenaded you to happy-togetherness and Santo & Johnny sleepwalked their way into your hearts.

When I was a child, I had an imaginary friend. Not the sort of imaginary friend I would accumulate much later on, as a professional writer and occasional interviewer of famous people ("Oh, Neil Gaiman? Yeah, we’re buddies now, real close. I swear"), but an actual nonexistent person that I would talk to—usually on school bus rides, and usually about books I had just read or cartoons I had just watched. I named her Julie, after a character from one of my favorite comic book series, Power Pack. I was around 10 or 11 years old at the time; I suppose that half a decade of blockheaded all-male companionship in grade school had taken its toll, causing me to invent a smart, funny female friend of my age.

I want to keep a bananafish in a giant brandy snifter. I want some big, silent bastard to just walk over once in a while to knock me out cold - then go back and finish reading his paper. I want to wear broken wristwatches all the way up to my elbows while eating cinnamon toast, then listen to epic stories told on the reconverted commercial bus going home.
