‘Sigaw’ premieres on Cinema One

"Sigaw" shouts with triumph as it premieres on Cinema One’s highly anticipated Sunday Cine Premiere tonight at 8.

A winner in the 2004 Metro Manila Film Festival and official selection for the 2005 Screamfest in L.A., "Sigaw (The Echo)" stars Richard Gutierrez, Angel Locsin and Jomari Yllana. This Regal Films drama thriller directed by Yam Laranas from the screenplay of Roy Iglesias is a unique take on mystery solving and confronting the ghosts that may or may not be after you. It is also the second movie tandem of Richard and Angel following the success of "Let The Love Begin" last February 2005. "Sigaw" eventually shows the versatility of both actors for this film detours them from the saccharine matinee idol mold and parlay other dimensions of their acting.

Marvin (Richard Gutierrez) savors his independence in a newly acquired unit of an old apartment building. He is frequently visited by his girlfriend Pinky (Angel Locsin). Except for the occasional noise from an apartment unit down the hallway, the place is almost perfect for Marvin. The discovery sets into motion a series of haunting that follow him and Pinky around. He decides to leave his apartment but the haunting follows them wherever they go. Marvin finally decided to confront the problem. He returns to the old apartment building to face the evil that dwells in it. What happens next shakes the very core of his beliefs about life, love and the spirit world.

Scream loud and be prepared to be driven at the edge of your seats as "Sigaw" sends shivers up and down your spine. Another October gem from Cinema One you shouldn’t miss. Available from SkyCable, Sun Cable, Home Cable and other quality cable operators nationwide.
