The Pasig City government has approved a P3.6-billion budget for next year, alloting a bulk of the fund for infrastructure projects.
The allocation of budget an ordinance was signed by Mayor Vicente Eusebio and other city government officials the other day.
Eusebio said the greater part of the budget would go to the city’s infrastructure projects to attract more investors to the city.
"We want to ease the traffic congestion through the infrastructure projects we are planning. We want more investors to come in the city," said Mayor Eusebio.
Aside from the infrastructure, the mayor vowed to prioritize the city’s education, health and housing needs.
Councilor Bobby Eusebio, chairman of the committee on housing, said the city government plans to construct more hospitals to attend to the needs of the people.
He said they plan to add more "satellite centers" in large barangays aside from medicines and laboratory needs.
This year’s budget is P700 million more than last year’s budget of P2.9 billion.
