Bosch Security Systems unveils latest products and technology

Bosch Security Systems introduces its Blue Line detectors – the company's latest addition to its line of commercial, residential and industrial intrusion detection products.

Blue Line series features an artificial intelligence that distinguishes between signals caused by humans and animals. This type of “Smart” detection only reacts to human movement, which eliminates the possibility of a commotion whenever a house pet “trips the wire.”

Blue Line detectors have sealed optics that provide immunity to false alarms brought about by draft, insects and household animals. Advanced First Step Processing (FSP) provides virtual instantaneous response to human targets while eliminating false alarms created by other sources. With FSP, installers do not have to select the sensitivity level for each application. Instead, sensitivity is automatically adjusted and compensates for temperature variations.

The initial portfolio of Bosch Blue Line intrusion detectors presents a choice of plug-in camera modules suitable for diverse residential and light commercial applications. These significantly reduce installer training and installation time. The easy-to-mount two-piece design includes a blank base, complete with knockouts, plus a front cover that incorporates all electronics and protected optics.

All electronics and the sealed optical chamber are incorporated into the front cover, No height adjustments are required for installations of up to 9 feet. In addition, a convenient plug-in terminal strip provides easy access to screw terminals and ample space for wiring.

Blue Line detectors operate with a coverage of 35 x 35 feet. Monochrome and color camera modules are also available to upgrade any Blue Line detector. The monochrome module supports EIA and CCIR video formats while the color module supports NTSC and PAL video formats.

Bosch Security Systems also added several new features to its DiBos family of Digital Video Recorder and Transmission Systems.

The primary feature upgrade is the step-up from JPEG to MPEG-4 compression technology. It has also increased its data storage efficiency, providing substantial savings in archiving cost for end-users. Other new features include the system's ability to merge legacy analog technology  with hi-tech digital networking; as well as more simplified and user-friendly operations with its newly-designed user interface and improved configuration process.

With MPEG-4 compression, DiBos now provides superior images and makes optimal use of available bandwidth and storage capacity, allowing a very high number of images to be simultaneously transmitted over networks. MPEG-4 enables at least five times more images than JPEG or Wavelet techniques for the same resolution and quality. DiBos also allows the combination of MPEG-4 and JPEG data streams. meaning that the system can employ both analog and digital network cameras.
Bosch Security Systems is a major division of Robert Bosch Inc., now on its tenth year of service in the industry. As the Philippine flagship of Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany, the company continuously provides reliable security products and technological expertise to all its local business partners and clients.

Robert Bosch Inc. has provided the CCTV and public address system in major airports and hotels, including the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Davao International Airport, Makati and EDSA Shangri-La Hotels and New World Hotel, among others.
