Robin’s manager refuses to let actor endorse Echo

ABS-CBN reportedly wanted Robin Padilla to endorse Jericho Rosales as the new action star for the "Panday" TV series and the action star who’s still in Australia enjoying a vacation with his family, was more than willing to do so. It’s supposed to be just a voice-over but Binoe’s manager did not like the way ABS-CBN wanted the endorsement to be done. Because it sounded like Robin was already retiring.

While awaiting for a project to do, Robin intends to stay in Australia to be with his wife Liezl and their children. And from reports reaching, Robin is enjoying anonymity very much while doing simple chores of ordinary men like gardening.

Robin’s last project for ABS-CBN was the drama-action series "Basta’t Kasama Kita" with Judy Ann Santos.

‘That’s Entertainment’

to be resurrected?

The buzz going around is that there’s a plan to resurrect German Moreno’s legendary show "That’s Entertainment" but if ever, it won’t be on GMA-7 but on QTV (Channel 11) which is slated to start operations next month (November).

Kuya Germs (who recently marked his milestone with a show at Club Mwah) doesn’t want to confirm or deny the rumor but of course if this is true, he would be the happiest person on earth. It is a well-known fact that most of the country’s illustrious stars started their showbiz careers in "That’s Entertainment," including Lea Salonga, Ruffa Gutierrez, Ara Mina, Janno Gibbs, Manilyn Reynes, Vina Morales, Sunshine Cruz, Donita Rose, Kempee de Leon, Rufa Mae Quinto, Patricia Javier, Beth Tamayo, Romnick Sarmenta, Sheryl Cruz, Tina Paner, Donna Cruz and many others.

Mark Herras, Jennylyn

Mercado no longer ‘on’

The latest buzz is that popular young loveteam Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado have, for the nth time, broken up. If they’ve been cordial and friendly on TV, it’s only for the sake of their fans, it was reported.

They broke up (again!) last Sept. 30 and to this writing there was no news yet of their geting back if ever. So is it for real this time? It been noted that their "away-bati/away-bati" situation has been irritating entertainment writers and even fans.

At the Kapuso Dabawenyo Weekend (Oct. 7-9), the gap between the young lovebirds was very noticeable. On the airplane, they did not sit together but instead Mark sat beside another (was it Yasmien Kurdi?) And then during the "SOP Gigsters" breaks, Mark was reportedly seen flirting with other young GMA talents, in particular Ryza Cenon.

Jennylyn believes the two are now "on" but Ryza denied it. Mark reportedly got so jealous of Nyoy Volante and Jake Cuenca that’s why they broke up?
