Do you really think this "no-rally radius zone" is needed to protect the citizenry as a whole?

Malacañang has established a so-called "no-rally radius zone" within its area, including Mendiola Bridge, that has been a constant venue for many protest actions. Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye said that this is meant "to protect and secure the peaceful lives of many". But its critics say that this is "a suppression of right to air sentiments against the administration".
