Ayala Hotels renews management contract of Intercontinental

Ayala Hotels, Inc. has renewed the management contract of InterContinental Hotels Group to manage InterContinenal Manila for another five years.

The property which is owned by Enjay Hotels, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ayala Hotels has been under InterContinental Hotels Group management since it opened in 1969.

Jan Smits, Chief Operating Officer Southern Asia, InterContinental Hotels Group said: "We look forward to the extension of our 36-year partnership with Ayala Hotels Inc. to manage InterContinental Manila. This iconic hotel has such an established history in Metro Manila, and the city’s residents have a strong attachment to it."

"As the Philippines continues to see strong growth in both business and tourist arrivals, InterContinental Manila, which sits at the heart of Makati, will continue to be ideally positioned to meet the needs of both these markets," said Smits.

The hotel will undergo refurbishment, enhancing the customer experience in the lobby, guestrooms, function and meeting facilities and restaurants.

InterContinental Manila will continue to operate as usual throughout this product enhancement, delivering the same high level of service, comfort and convenience that the hotel is renowned for. On completion, the hotel will reinforce its position as one of the city’s finest.

"Additionally, this will be especially welcomed by our repeat clientele which makes up over 50 percent of our hotel guests. They will continue to enjoy the benefits of our global loyalty programme, Priority Club Rewards, and the convenience of our web and voice booking systems," Smits added.

Commenting on the contract renewal, Jaime I Ayala, President of Ayala Hotels, Inc. said:

"We are pleased to continue our relationship with InterContinental Hotels Group. They have time and again demonstrated their ability in managing properties that offer exceptional guest experience."

Ayala Hotels, Inc. is confident that InterContinental Manila will continue to deliver the same high standards as they have in the past.

InterContinental Manila is one of the four properties managed by InterContinental Hotels Group in the Philippines.

The group also manages the Holiday Inn Clark in Pampanga, as well as the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Galleria in Ortigas.
