1,052 new mechanical engineers listed

   

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced last night that 1,052 out of 2,304 examinees passed the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in Manila, Cebu, and Davao this month.

On the Board of Mechanical Engineering which gave the licensure examination are Engr. Alfredo Y. Po, chairman; and Engr. Jovencio C. Palisbo, member.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees will be held before the Board in Manila on Monday, Nov. 21, 1 p.m., at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel; in Cebu City on Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Grand Convention Center, Cebu City; and in Davao City on Thursday, Dec. 1, 6 p.m., at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers Inc. (PSME) will start on Nov. 3.

The top performing schools in the exam are University of the Philippines-Diliman, Ateneo de Davao University, Batangas State University (Pablo Borbon M.I.T.), and Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas.

The top ten examinees:

Carl Bryan Go Taguiam, University of San Carlos, 91.20 percent; Michael Lester Musni Linzey, St. Louis University, 88.85; Earl Salinas Gueta, Bicol UniversityLegazpi, 88.45; Kendrick Berdijo Ocaña, Eastern Visayas State University (LIT) Tacloban, 88.30; Christopher Edwin Cadiog Quela, St. Louis University, 88.10;

Genri Solano Belarmino, University of Cebu (Cebu Central Colleges), 87.70; Ronnie Sanico Guarin, University of the Philippines-Diliman, and Jonas Marco Villanueva Quiñones, University of San Carlos, 87.65; Filomeno Jr. Lagrito Ricarte, Technological University of the PhilippinesVisayas, 87.60; Michael Medrano Recinto, Batangas State University, Pablo Borbon MIT), 87.55; and Mark Harold Tamayo Gustilo, Negros Oriental State University (CVPC) Dumaguete, 87.50.
