Fr. Herminio Dagohoy was installed as the 9th Rector of Angelicum College last June 13 during a Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Roberto C.F. Pinto, OP, Socious of the Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines held at the St. Albert Auditorium.
He was the former Treasurer of the institution for the past two years while Fr. Hilario Singian, OP, was the Rector. As the new Rector, Fr. Dagohoy said that he intends to implement the plan made by Fr. Singian. What have been done and approved will be continued," he said. He also plans to have planning sessions at the end of the school year.
Fr. Jojo as he is fondly called expressed his gratitude to everyone in Angelicum College for welcoming him as the new Rector of the institution. He said that he hopes that everyone in Angelicum "will continue to serve the institution with the best of our abilities – with the same dedication and commitment to Angelicum system of education and firm trust in the unfailing grace of God".
Fr. Dagohoy was the Prior of Santo Domingo Convent from July 2001 and October 2004. He has held many responsibilities related to school administration before coming to Angelicum. After his ordination in 1994, he was appointed Internal Auditor in Letran College in Intramuros. After a year he was transferred to Letran College Calamba where he handled multiple positions.
