The AZ Series  features a unique canon-shaped subwoofer made of aluminum (available for DHC-AZ7DM only). One of its highlights is that It also features an innovative changer mechanism that slots your DVDs/VCDs/CDs vertically.

The AZ series supports USB connectivity, it facilitates access between the HiFi system and the personal computers. This lets audio, video, and gaming sources from the PC to be accessed through the AZ Series’ Audio Streaming feature.

Aside from network connectivity, the Sony AZ Series also boasts of the powerful S-Master Digital Amplifier, a revolutionary technology that uses a simplified signal path to increase efficiency and reduce heat generation. This minimizes sound distortion and ensures only the best audio output.

A three-dimensional digital cinema sound effect technology gives users ten pairs of virtual speakers for a theatre-like effects.  This is also extended to PC users who will benefit by enhancing their gaming and video experience.

Aside from playing downloaded online media formats, CD, DVD, VCD, CD-R-CD-RW, and Tape Cassettes are also compatible with the Sony AZ Series. The DHC-AZ7DM and DHC-AZ3DM are also compatible with the DivX format.
