Meet the Star Magic October b-day celebrants

   

Maja Salvador just turned 17 last Oct. 5 and gone in a long way for her entry in showbiz. She has definitely bloomed from the time she was first seen on "The Buzz" when she was searching for her father. She was then part of "Spirits" and because of her flair for dancing, she was one of the judges in "ASAP " dance showdown Clash Room. She will be part of the movie "Sukob" under Star Cinema where she plays the role of Kris Aquino’s niece. Maja will also in the teleserye starring Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos. Maja is also the newest endorser for the clothing brand Bobson.

Anna Larrucea

Anna Larrucea is a comebacking Kapamilya . She was launched as part of Star Circle Batch 4 and became a mainstay in the shows "Ang TV," "Kaybol," "GIMIK" and "Mula Sa Puso." She is best remembered in films like "Magic Temple," "Baby Love," "Ang TV (The Movie)" and "Batang PX." She also appeared in commercials like Sunlight Laundry Bar, Ques-O, Kool Aid and McDonalds. Anna turned 21 last Oct. 7. At the age, she is ready for more mature roles but not necessarily daring.

Nash Aguas

Nash Aguas is of course Kid Grand Questor of the first "Star Circle Quest." Ever since he was hailed Kid Grand Questor, Nash has been very busy! He is Newton, Juan’s best friend in "My Juan and Only." He also played the role of Allan, the best friend of Gigi, played by real-life friend Sharlene San Pedro in "Mga Angel na Walang Langit." He has also appeared in movies like "Happily Ever After," "Hari ng Sablay" and "I Will Always Love You." He is also on the kids in the Star Records educational VCD "My First Lessons with Jollibee." Right now, he is a regular in the kiddie gag show "Goin’ Bulilit." Much-awaited is his portrayal of the role of Peping in "Gulong Ng Palad." Nash celebrated his 7th birthday last Oct. 10.

Rodjun Cruz

Rodjun Cruz is part of Star Magic’s all-male dance group Animé. He is very proud to be part of the group because it has been awarded twice by the Aliw as Best Modern Dance group and by the National Consumers Foundation as Best Young Male dance group. He is regularly seen on "ASAP Fanatic." Tall, not so dark but definitely handsome, there is no doubt that Rodjun will make it in showbiz. He hails from the famous Cruz clan and has obviously inherited the looks and the talent. He is just working on his shyness but we must admit, that is his charm, especially with the girls who just love to swoon at him. Rodjun turned 18 last Oct. 10.

Carl John Barrameda

For sure, Carl John Barrameda is called Dodong whenever he is in public. Dodong is the role he portrays in "Mga Angel Na Walang Langit." He is the son of Tatang played by Johnny Delgado. After "Till There Was You," he was also in the movie "Mr. Suave." He was first noticed when he played the young Yuri Orvida in "Kay Tagal kang Hinintay," the teleserye which catapulted John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo to superstardom. He was also in commercials for Bibbo Hotdog and Lucky Me Pancit Canton. Carl was born on Oct. 12,1993.

Railey Valeroso

Railey Valeroso is a newcomer in ABS–CBN. He made a name in another channel and is trying his luck this time with the Kapamilya network. He has guested in "Yes Yes Show" and "Game Ka Na Ba." He is busy with his studies in the Distance Learning Program of UP Diliman. Because of his height, Railey loves to play basketball. He is also into target shooting. A lot of people would just love to have his weight problem because his is how to gain and not to lose. He is really trying to build his physique so he can try out other roles aside from drama. Railey turned 21 last Oct. 18.

Moreen Guese

Moreen Guese is best remembered for a remarkable performance as Fatima Soriano, a child who was diagnosed with Retro Lental Degeneration, an illness where she couldn’t control her eye movement since the age of 2 in "Maalaala Mo Kaya." Moreen is also the voice behind one of the songs in "Kampanerang Kuba." She is very busy with school, already in her freshman year in high school at the OB Montessori in Greenhills. She was part of "Home Along the Riles," "Labs Ko Si Babe," "Munting Paraiso," "Kaya ni Mister, Kaya ni Misis" and ETV show "Sineskwela." She celebrated her 12th birthday last Oct. 20.

Charles Christianson

"Star Circle Quest" finalist Charles Christianson celebrated his 19th birthday last Oct. 22. After being a regular of "SCQ Kilig Ako," he is seen doing rounds of guestings in various ABS–CBN shows like "ASAP Fanatics," "Homeboy," "Nginiig," "Wowowee" and a lot more. He is also busy with several provincial mall shows. This humble guy from Davao had enough exposures since he started his career in showbiz. Charles never imagined that his luck in SCQ would give him a chance to be working with well-known names in the industry. Aside from acting, he hopes to be part of a variety show where he could showcase his love for dancing.

Hi-5 GPEC, a big success

A successful and star-studded event dubbed as "Hi-5 GPEC" happened last Oct. 22 at The Garden SM North EDSA. Global Publishing and Entertainment Corporation (GPEC) showcased a big celebration in line with S Magazine’s 4th year anniversary and Inside Showbiz’s 1st year anniversary.

Big names in the entertainment industry together with the press people, as well as the event sponsors, advertisers, dealers, distributors and supporters graced this grandiose event which embodies the continuous success of GPEC in the field of publishing. From one title in 1999, GPEC has now five titles to boasts of — S Magazine, Inside Showbiz, Celebrity Living, Pinoy Gazette and Access TV Program Guide. And still the company continues to grow with its world-wide circulation.

The anniversary event produced a sparkling spectacle of songs, fun and entertainment as popular singers, bands and dancers performed to the audience’s delight. Showing their superb talents were Ai Ai de las Alas, Jamie Rivera, South Border, Orange & Lemons, Rachelle Ann Go, Mark Bautista, Eva Eugenio, Marissa Sanchez, Pokwang, Jed Madela, Rizza Navales, Raymond Manalo, Thor, Michael Cruz, Jerome Sala, Mabel Bacusmo, Nikki Bacolod, Jona Lumbera, Aryana, Shane Corpuz, John Arcilla, Ernie Garcia, Marie Nallos, Baywalk Bodies, Dice & K9, Juana, Itchyworms, Blue Ketchup, Soapdish, Protein Shake, Escape, The Members, 9th Avenue, 6Cyclemind, Black Pearl, Hec and the Abacus Band, Danz Groove, and the Champions League of Search for the Star in a Million Season 2 — Jimmy Marquez, Kris Lawrence, Tony dela Paz, Lance Onate, Jay Perillo, Francis Ong, Shake Valerio, Ais Roxas, Joey Ignacio and Anna Baluyot.

Another highlight of the party was a fashion show featuring the unique casual holiday collection of well–known designer Gener Gozum.

This shinning affair was hosted by Raymond Lauchengco, Sherilyn Reyes, Lotlot de Leon, Smokey Manaloto, Gary Lim, Alma Concepcion, Chokoleit, John Lapus, Nelson Canlas of "24 Oras" and Love Radio DJs Cris Tsuper, Nicole Hyala, and Sexy Terry.

Other celebrities who made special appearances and greetings were Bayani Agbayani, Ana Capri, Faith Cuneta, Cherry Lou, Jenny Miller, Ma.
