A celebration of modern art, technology and fashion

On Nov. 9, Shu Eumura, Motorola and Smart Infinity — three brands known for producing iconic products and providers of premium service — celebrate a collaboration signifying the synergy of beauty, art and technology for a good cause.

Heralding the launch of Shu Uemura’s Limited Edition Cleansing Oils by Japanes artist Ai Yamaguchi and Motorola’s must-have phone: the Motorola PEBL, the event is a celebration of luxury and Japanese design.

A love affair that began in 2004 between Mr. Shu Uemura and Takashi Murakami protege (of Louis Vuitton fame) Ai Yamaguchi produced the Limited Edition Cleansing Oils.

The two artists drew inspiration from the beauty of nature which resulted in a collection paying tribute to the cycles of life.

Motorola’s newest product, the PEBL also represents the perfect marriage of design and innovation. Inspired by the feel of a stone worn smooth by water, the PEBL is a significant evolution in Motorola’s mobile design ethos.

Simple and rich, smooth and sophisticated, elegant and luxurious, the PEBL is an absolute object of desire exactly like the Shu by Ai Cleansing Oils. They both signify the perfect blend of "science, art and nature."

In celebration of this unique partnership, Shu Uemura, Motorola and Smart Infinity will hold the Shu by Ai-PEBL launch party on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at The Loft at Rockwell.

Adhering to Mr. Shu Uemura’s philosophy of "beauty without boundaris" and that "children are the artists of the future", a portion of the sales of the Shu by Ai Cleansing Oils will be for the benefit of the L’Arche Foundation — a charity organization for special children.

The mission of L’Arch is to rescue mentally handicapped children by providing them with homes wherein they can live with people who dedicate themselves to care for them.

A highlight of the evening will be the auction of limited dition Ai Yamaguchi works of art not available for regular sale.

Motorola is also showing their commitment to the cause by commissioning young, hip, Filipino artists Kiko Escora, Jason Moss, Maria Taniguchi and Team Manila to create their own interpretations of th "PEBL-shaped by nature."

The art works will also be unveiled on the same evening, and will be auctioned off along with Ai Yamaguchi’s work.

Proceeds of the sale of all the items on Nov. 9 will go to L’Arche Foundation.

Guests are asked to come glamorously dressed for their favorite season. The best dressed of each season will be the first in the country to receive the PEBL phone.
