The NetSecure Lite series of standalone time and attendance solution now includes a fingerprint-based model. The NSL-200 runs on embedded Linux and uses an optical scanner from DigitalPersona. Like the NSL-100, it does not require a PC to run. However, a PC-based program for full timekeeping monitoring and reporting is included.
This NetSecure Timekeeper Lite can be fitted with an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) reader or a smart card depending on the customer’s preference. Optional access control features are also available.
Users can login or logout using their fingerprint or PIN. The NSL-200 can store up to 1,500 user templates and up to 50,000 attendance records. It only takes a maximum of about 2 seconds to recognize a fingerprint. A bright LCD and a built-in speaker provides visual and audio feedback.
The unit also has a built-in USB port where you can insert a Flash Drive to download the raw time and attendance logs or backup the user profiles.
User administration and backup is simple and can be carried out locally using the built-in USB port; using an RS-232 serial port on the local area network; or using the built-in Ethernet port over a wide area network.
