Motorola has released the i870 for Nextel operator. It’s the first model for Nextel, equipped with an MP3-player, like any other Nextel phones, it supports push to talk, meaning it can work simultaneously in walkie-talkie mode. The i870 features an antibacterial coat AgION, which prevents bacteria and mould from forming/accumulating on the surface of the phone.
The i870 is a clamshell with two color displays. It has music buttons on the front panel for easy musing management. The internal screen features a 176x220 pixel resolution, and the external screen is 96x65 pixels. The device can work under WiDEN networks (Wide Integrated Digital Enhanced Network), which provide data transfer speeds 4 times higher than iDEN networks.
The phone is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera and a GPS-module, there is also Bluetooth interface. The phone is also capable of recording vidoe and it supports microSD for additional memory requirments. (www.mobilereview.com)
