MTRCB Chair Laguardia meets MAV & Ariel in ‘Totoo-TV’

Maverick and Ariel, stars of the 2nd Golden Screen Entertainment TV’s Outstanding Comedy Show, is at it again. For today’s episode of their revolutionary public affairs show "Totoo TV" (11 p.m. on ABC), the comic–duo–turned–investigative–journalists dons police uniforms and escorts no less than TV and film’s ultimate police – MTRCB chairperson Marissa Consolazion Laguardia.

"Totoo–TV," the show that merged reality entertainment with news and public affairs brings another newsmaker to the fore and reveals the person behind the public persona. Strict, conservative and traditional – these are what most say of the programs that pass for good television and film, and incidentally of the present MTRCB sensibilities. But does the same hold true for the board’s chairperson? Take a peek at a day in the life of chairwoman Laguardia – from colorful conversations, to fun sing–alongs, to watching bold films! Maverick and Ariel post as the chair’s guards, tagging along Laguardia as the latter pursue her exciting daily adventures. Can the chairwoman censor Maverick and Ariel’s bold questions and crazy antics? Catch that this Monday on ABC.

On Tuesday (Dec. 13, 11 p.m.) Ali Sotto’s self–titled talk magazine "Ali!" features the Pinoy gold medalists in the recent concluded 23rd SEA Games. Included in Ali’s roster of guests are: diving triple gold medalist Shiela May Perez, rowing triple gold medalist Benjie Tolentino and taekwondo champ John Paul Lizardo. Learn more of their struggles and the stories behind their victories. Meanwhile, "Dokyu" (Dec. 14, 11 p.m.) features two interesting student documentaries from the University of the Philippines and St. Scholastica’s College. The UP entrant titled "Hair Monologues," a takeoff from a known stage play, presents a reality where hairs talk, exhibit unique personalities, and holds unpopular opinions. St. Scholastica’s entrant, on the other hand, explores cyber–space and the fast–growing phenomenon called "Friendster." Meet some of Friendster’s weirdest citizens and learn the countless possibilities and dangers today’s information age holds. On Dec. 16, 11 p.m. "Real Stories Kasama si Loren" recounts stories of personal struggle and triumphs despite life’s cruelties – a source of inspiration and hope badly needed in these times. Catch these weeklong public affairs offerings on ABC–Iba Tayo!
