I always get excited when December rolls around because aside from seeing the city all lit up every night, I also love checking out what collections all the makeup counters have. Holiday Collections are usually decadent, luxurious and so much fun! This year Shu Uemura does not disappoint with its Moondrops collection.


WHEN premier computer animation studio Pixar ended its fruitful partnership with Disney early last year, not too many eyebrows were raised. After all, Pixar ushered in a new era of groundbreaking 3D-animated films like Toy Story and Toy Story 2, A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and, most recently, The Incredibles. Undaunted and obviously unfazed by the departure of their extremely creative collaborator, however, Disney decided to pick up where Pixar left off and from hereon, come out with their own 3D wonder.


IT’S a rare horror flick that gets an endorsement from the Catholic Church. And rarer still that horror flick that’s able to bring one’s faith into the light and asks that you examine it. On both counts The Exorcism of Emily Rose works, and for that it’s a very different kind of horror film.


"Tweaked" is the operative word at Red Kimono, which is trying to distinguish itself from among an already teeming population of Japanese restaurants in town by serving what it calls "modern Japanese cuisine."
