Piolo and Juday back in each other’s arms, at last!

And finally, after a long, long wait, the country’s most popular and most bankable loveteam, Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual, is back in each other’s arms, a good reason for the fans to celebrate because they have been clamoring for the two star’s re-teamup after "Till There was You" shown a few years ago.

Also produced by Star Cinema, "Don’t Give Up on Us" comes as an answered prayer both for Juday-Piolo fans and lovers of romantic films for whom three or more years of waiting was like eternity.

"I myself have been waiting for this moment," said Piolo who is featured with an entirely new look in his role as an aspiring singer in "Don’t Give Us On Us."

Echoing the same feeling, Piolo said, "I’ve been dreaming of this. I’m glad it has come true."

Directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal from a story by Enrico Santos (with screenplay by Artemio Abad, Carol San Pedro and Dindo Perez), "Don’t Give Up On Us" is a poignant love story with a lot of "kilig" factor sure to emanate from the tried-and-tested chemistry between Juday and Piolo.

It’s a feel–good romance that retains the exhilarating effect of such past Juday-Piolo starrers as "Kahit Isang Saglit," "Bakit Di Pa Totohanin" and the duo’s TV soap "Sa Puso Ko, Iingatan Ka," while at the same time transporting the two stars to a higher, more mature level.

In the story, Juday plays Abby, a domineering and cranky woman and Piolo is Vince, a hunky, long-haired aspiring singer. They cross paths while separate soul-searching vacations in Baguio and Sagada, a perfect setting for two strangers who develop an aversion for each other on first meeting but gradually become closer as they get to know each other better.

After many twists and turns, would you expect the strangers-turned-lovers to live happily ever after as soon as they surmount and survive all sorts of tests and trials? You bet!

In their first team-up, the big romance-drama hit "Kahit Isang Saglit," Piolo was Juday’s secret love which was realized only after Juday’s boyfriend (played by Leandro Muñoz) died in an accident. In "Bakit Di Pa Totohanin?," Juday played a tomboy tamed into a demure dame by the patient and persistent Piolo. Now in "Don’t Give Up On Us," they give love and romance a new kind of touch and treatment calculated to titillate and touch the hearts not only of Juday-Piolo diehards but those other romantics.

Scheduled to be released in January 2006, "Don’t Give Up On Us" also stars Hilda Koronel, Tommy Abuel, Rio Locsin, Marjorie Barretto, Marco Alcaraz, Cheska Diaz and JC Cuadrado in an introductory role.
