If you think that "Exodus: Tales from Enchanted Kingdom" is a man’s movie because if the cast of macho men led by Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. in the role and including pop star Jay-R as the evil king Haring Bagulbol, Paolo Bediones as the leader of the city of Bantayan threatened with destruction by the evil king and his cohorts, Benjie Paras as the Earth Elemental and child star BJ "Tolits" Forbes as Fire Elemental you have to think again.
The movie, directed by Erik Matti and co-produced by Imus Productions with Reality Entertainment (headed by Dondon Monteverde of the Regal Clan) in cooperation with The Enchanted Kingdom, also stars three of the country’s loveliest actresses, namely Aubrey Miles, Iya Villania and Phoemela Barranda.
Known for playing sexy roles, Aubrey goes "action" for a change and she welcomes it with glee. She plays Water Elemental, one of Haring Bagulbol’s cohorts who can’t do anything but obey his orders no matter if they mean annihilation of mankind.
"I had fun doing my role," said Aubrey who is co-costumed that moviegoers will hardly notice her curves. "It’s a very entertaining movie and I’m happy with my action scenes."
Making her movie debut, Iya plays as Air Elemental and, like Aubrey; also has her own share of rough and tumble scenes. "It’s really an unforgettable movie initiation for me," said Iya in show "Wowowee.""I did several fight scenes and it’s a good thing I work out regularly and I’m fit."
As a quick departure from her daily role as TV host (of "TV Patrol’s" showbiz segment host of "The Buzz"), Phoemela is cast as the mother of Exodus. She and Exodu’s father, played by Ramon Revilla Sr., died under mysterious circumstances and Exodus, savior of mankind and the only one who can stop Haring Bagulbol and his cohorts in their tracks, settles the scores his dead parents had againts the evil forces.
"Exodus:Tales from Enchanted Kingdom" was done at a budget of more than R 70 million because of its stateof-the-art special effects and sensurround sound that engulfs the audience.
"It’s worth it, "said Bong.
Also in the cast are Bong’s son Bryan, Jolo and Ram, and his halfbrother also named Ram, with Long Mejia in his most challenging role so far.
