The fountain of Rizal's youth THE Rizal Monument at the Rizal Park was, as in previous years, the focus of the commemoration of Rizal Day. There was the traditional wreath-laying ceremony by top government officials, duly covered by the media.
New glories to make Ateneo’s heroism tradition endure In front of the Sacred Heart Shrine and the Church of the Gesu at the Ateneo Loyola Heights campus is a small monument. It is so unobstrusive passersby hardly notice it. Though a wreath is laid there each year by the alumni, not many know that it is the Ateneo Heroes Memorial Marker.
Rizal’s challenge to the youth Jose Rizal’s famous message for the youth was about the youth being the fair hope of the nation. What he exactly said was that the youth was "bella esperanza de la Patria mia" or "fair hope of my fatherland."
