The School of International Hospitality Management, the latest to be granted full recognition by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), achieved numerous victories from its students from the just recently held Tourism Educators of Schools, Colleges and Universities (TESCU) National Convention, that was done at the Holiday Inn at Clark Field, Pampanga.
Prestigious schools from all around the country competed for the different events that were scheduled. WCC-SIHM rose above the ranks, with Ronel Occena winning the coveted championship in the Customer Relations Case Study Competition.
The dean of the SIHM of WCC was given the honor of being elected as part of the TESCU Board of Directors for the period of 2005 until 2007.
The College of Hotel and Restaurant Management was established at WCC in June 2001. The continuous expansion of the college and its curriculum allowed WCC to rename it to SIHM, which was established in 2005. The curriculum of SIHM allows students to learn through the multi-disciplinary approach BS HRM, with emphasis in Housekeeping Management and Food & Beverage Management. SIHM continues to present innovations in studying the to give graduates the edge that only WCC can offer.
