The who’s who of Manila’s social set flocked to Red at the Makati Shangri-La as Nokia and Metro Society unveiled the “Society on Society” photo exhibit.
The exhibit featured photographs of Manila’s movers and shakers taken by the country’s top photographers.
Anton Huang, Richie Santos, Ting Ting Cojuangco, Bianca Araneta, Sofia Zobel, Claudia Bermudez, Joel Tantoco, Imee Marcos, and Georgina Wilson were some of the subjects whose portraits were taken by Jojo Guingona, Pancho Escaler, Monique Villonco, Amanda Luym, Bengy Toda, Victor Consunji, Butch Baluyut, and Pepper Teehankee.
Nokia introduced to guests the Nokia N70 and N90, two imaging devices that are part of the powerful Nokia Nseries.
More than just ordinary camera phones, they do more than snap clear photos or shoot VHS-quality videos. They also let you keep and share cherished moments with friends and loved ones.
No other mobile phone has state of the art features such as the N90’s Carl Zeiss optics for its camera lens, 20 times digital zoom, immense memory capacity that lets one store every single memory captured, and a range-of-capture scene settings such as scenery, portrait, night and sports that result to stunningly clear photos.
A distinguished few were loaned the Nokia N70 and N90, serving as "amateur photographers" for the night by taking photos of the guests who attended the event.
The photographer of the best photo was to win a brand new Nokia N70. All the photos taken using the N70 and N90 were printed by Kodak via Bluetooth printer and given to the featured judges to vote on who took the best shot.
After careful deliberation, Anton Barretto’s photo of Lizzie Zobel won for himself the Nokia N70.
Seen at the event were Nokia country general manager Parikshit Bhasin, Nokia corporate communications manager Luanne Emi, Nokia product manager Mike Smith, Metro’s Raul Manzano, Philip Cuunjieng, Mia Borromeo, Doris Magsaysay Ho, Vicky Zubiri, DJ Montano, Miguel Rosales, Tina Tinio, Patrick Reyno, ABS-CBN’s Ernie and Jeena Lopez, Mario Mamon, Lizzie Zobel, Louie Cruz, Chu Chu Madrigal Eduque, Anton Barreto and Bianca Valerio, Store Specialists’ Anton Huang, Melissa Martel, Jojo Zabarte, Bulgari’s Mario Katigbak, and Eva Abesamis.
