Life coaching: Becoming a new you for the New Year
New Year is the best time for starting afresh. People are full of hope and anticipation for the New Year. It feels like getting a new lease on life and thus, resolutions are made. But year after year, the same thing happens. Within a few weeks, resolutions fizzle out and all enthusiasm and hope is gone! It doesn’t matter what resolutions were made – keeping fit, losing weight, or being a better person. Feelings of guilt, disappointment, and frustration abound as promises for the New Year get quickly broken! Just why do people keep on repeating the same mistakes?

Let us start our new years with only the best for our health. Be more analytical when buying foods or food supplements. As Economic Crisis has strike our country, Filipinos have the initial tendency to find the cheapest of foods that will sustain them for the meantime. It is a gigantic task to reverse the rate of poverty in our land, but at the very least, each of us should strive not to be counted as a liability. To make this happen, aim for a very productive life, free yourself from health problems as much as you can. Eating natural foods is the best sounding advice but let’s face it, nature has really changed. It has created an impact on the quality of our naturally grown foods. Atmospheric changes has made some naturally produced foods get shorter shelf life and the degeneration of the our soil’s nutrient resources has given less nutrient value to our foods. So where are we being led?….to the use of different formula or food supplements that will provide some of our daily nutrient needs that our body needs to achieve whatever goal we aim for, like what?… longer life, less-aging image, successful pregnancy (brought about by good nutrition), control of degenerative diseases or anything else.

By this time, most of our Resolutions are pretty well ironed out, and if any of yours include a fitter lifestyle and a better body in 2006, then welcome to the club. If this has been on your list for more than a year, don’t despair – this is the year we’ll make it happen! Grab an eating buddy or better yet, a workout and eating buddy, and share the last two of my four top tips & tricks that get rid of flab. In the past issues we’ve discussed the first two. This is number three, a favorite with many of my clients who don’t want to think of fussing over what they’re going to eat and how it’s going to be prepared.
