Palawan asks full accounting of its 40% share in gas project PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — In its bid to get a full accounting of the total amount paid by the Malampaya consortium to the national government for the commercial utilization of the Camago-Malampaya deep water gas-to-power project and secure its legal and rightful share of 40 percent of the gas proceeds, the Palawan provincial government represented by Gov. Joel T. Reyes has filed a motion for the government "to render a full accounting of the actual payments by Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. (SPEX) to the Bureau of Treasury to ‘freeze’ and/or place in escrow account the 40 percent share of Palawan.’’
