There are some things in life that I can never outgrow, good food, parties, fun and my favorite cartoon characters. So everytime I find free time for a night out, I make sure I drop by my favorite place where I can find the things that I love the most, made even better, suited for my age – Bedrock Bar and Grill.

There are some things in life that I can never outgrow, good food, parties, fun and my favorite cartoon characters. So everytime I find free time for a night out, I make sure I drop by my favorite place where I can find the things that I love the most, made even better, suited for my age – Bedrock Bar and Grill.

One of the hippest places I’ve been, the bar is an adaptation of my favorite stone-age cartoons, The Flintstones. The Jurassic Park inspired bar is an artistic combination of pre-historic bits and pieces and modern day interior design with the state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment. I am talking about animal designed chairs, Jungle branches and trees, airbrush of famous dinosaurs highlighting the Mighty T-Rex, all designed with elegance, style and comfort. To add up to the bar’s jungle like atmosphere, the waiters and waitresses are clad with animal fur aprons ala Fred and Wilma.

That one of a kind concept blends well with the bar’s modern amenities and facilities – Disco and band set-up sound and lighting equipment, wide projection screens, intelligent/laser lights and convenient smoke busters.

Sumptuous meal is as excellent as well. You can choose from their menu list with weird sounding foods, yet unique and satisfying to the palate. Bedrock lava burger, Crispy T-Rex, Beef Stegosaur, The Ultimate Carnivore Pizza and other mouth watering dishes.

Not to forget the favorite "Stone Grilled" dishes, which at the moment can only be found at Bedrock. Imagine mixed seafood, US Tenderloin, German Sausages, Chicken Fillet or Steak and Prawns being cooked right in front of you, less the fatty oils, by the use of their authentic and healthy, oven-heated stone slabs from the Alps mountain.

And to top it all, you can sing and dance with some of the most sought after bands who perform regularly here.

Bedrock Malate line–up: Brainchild/Major Impact (2/9);/ The Boss Band every Monday; D’ Empire/Xop every Tuesday; Hitmakers/Extilo every Wednesday; Level One/New Level every Thursday; Dig/Resoul every Friday; X.O.P./Twist of 8 (7,14)/ Major Impact (21, 28) every Saturday and Emerge / Extreme every Sunday.

Bedrock Morato shows: Livewire every Monday; Nexxus every Tuesday; D’ Empire every Wednesdays; Twist of 8 every Thursdays; Extreme Jeremiah/Zonata every Friday; Brainchild/Zonata every Saturday and Jeremiah Domination every Sunday.

The bar has two branches. The newly opened Bedrock is a 700 seater located at the 5th floor of the CKB center along Tomas Morato, Quezon City, where you can find, again the first of its kind in the country, a 360 degrees rotating, circular stage. The place is a prime choice for corporate functions, seminars, parties, conferences, launchings and different types of events. The other branch is a famous landmark in Adriatico, Malate Manila, where the façade exhibits a vicious T-Rex billboard. The bar is now undergoing a major facelift to give its patrons a much conducive party place. Nevertheless, party still continues, so you may still hop in and strut to the sound of party fun anytime of the week.

According to Mok Olarte, the bar’s Marketing Consultant, "Bedrock is the best place to spend your party nights. We’ve got here good food, great entertainment, the nicest ambience and lots, lots more. Good thing is that you get to have all of these under one roof without paying unnecessary charges, because there is no service charge and entrance is free, so you can party from dusk ‘till dawn."This year Bedrock promises an even greater line up of entertainment that is tailored fit for all the party goers whether in Malate or in Quezon City.
