Master of comedy Miguel Faustmann plays Leonard, a statistician single father who is struggling to juggle the care of a teen-aged daughter (Charlie Barredo), a septuagenarian father (Bonggoy Manahan) and a house while trying to become a writer.

However, his work gets turned down by a women’s issues book editor Harriet (Ana Bitong) on the grounds that his proposed novel would not be believable since he can not possibly know what it is to be a housewife.

Determined to prove her wrong, he rewrites the first chapter and resubmits it under a woman’s pseudonym.

All goes well until Harriet, charmed by the book, insists on meeting the author. That is when the fun begins.

Directed by Baby Barredo, "Nobody’s Perfect" has performances on Jan. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, and Feb. 3, 4, 5, Friday and Saturday evening shows at 8 p.m and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3:30 p.m.

The two-storey set is designed by Miguel Faustmann with lights by Martin Esteva.

Miguel Faustmann, is one of Manila’s most versatile, and most experienced actors having played leads in comedies, dramas, Shakespeare plays and musicals for almost 40 years.

Charlie Barredo has appeared on stage since infancy. Her first big role was as Tiny Tim in Rep’s production of "A Christmas Carol".

She played leads in "A Secret Garden", "40 Carats and Fame". She also appears in Rep’s Children’s Theater.

Ana Bitong and Bonggoy Manahan are part of Rep’s deep bench of actors that play lead and support roles in Shakespeare plays, comedies, dramas and musicals.

Their latest appearance was as "Lady Winifred" and the emperor in "The Emperor’s New Clothes."

"Nobody’s Perfect" is the first of Rep’s year of seven plays which include a musical "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change","7 ng Umaga", "Two and Two Make Sex", "Aladdin, Jr.", "The Boor" and "The Proposal", and "The Sound of Music".
