Roosevelt College System marks the 73rd anniversary of its foundation day from January 25 to 28, 2006. The four-day celebration will be held at the main campus in Sumulong Highway in Cainta, Rizal. Theme of this year’s celebration is "Quality Education for Harmony of Man and Nature."
Various activities to be participated in by students, faculty, alumni, and parents from all seven campuses are lined up.
On the 25th, the day will kick off with a Thanksgiving Mass at the school’s covered court to show its gratitude to the greatest Teacher for the school’s 73-years of existence and shall invoke His blessing for more years of service to the youth. Flag Raising Ceremonies at the school quadrangle will follow, where the national colors as well as those of the seven units shall be raised.
The launching of the school mascot shall follow. This is the first presentation of the school mascot to the public and is expected to inspire the school constituents to generate excitement and fire up the school spirit. The opening of the Eco-system Exposition at main lobby, on the other hand, shall underscore the school’s advocacy for the protection of the environment. To cap the night off, the Search for Miss Roosevelt College System 2006 shall follow at the quadrangle.
On the 26th, the day will start off with a colorful dance presentation and native parlor games only for the pupils and parents of the grade school through a mass field demonstration and fun games at the school quadrangle. The brightest students from the seven campuses will compete in a computer-based Quiz Bee "Pasiklaban sa Roosevelt" at the covered court shall take place. Selected terpsichoreans from each campus will dance the night away in a delightful dance sport competition dubbed "Dance Fest 2006" at the Quadrangle.
On the 27th, the day will be greeted by 11 cheer dance groups competing for a perpetual trophy and the chance to become the official school cheer dance group for outside competitions in the cheer dance competition that will be held at the quadrangle. The Eco-system Congress at the College AVR shall feature seven students research groups. They will present and defend their research work on Eco-system issues before a panel of experts and audience. A Musical Competition that will feature 10 student-bands and four solo performers will be held at the Quadrangle.
The last day of the celebration will start with a "Fun Walk 2006" where thousands of students from the seven campuses shall take-off from five pre-determined destinations to do a walk for a clean and healthy environment and converge at the school campus in Cainta for a short commitment program for Mother Earth.
At 5:00 p.m., the Awards Night at the school quadrangle shall take place. This is the fitting finale to the celebration because 98 teachers and employees shall be given Service Awards and the results of the 2005-2006 Search for Most Outstanding Teachers shall be announced.
On the duration of the four-day bash, there shall be carnival rides, fun booths, and food booths for both young and old to enjoy.
