A national information policy framework WE have several laws on information (legislation and constitutional provisions), but these have been promulgated without a unifying policy framework. In fact, this need had been expressed in a number of recommendations made by multi-sectoral groups during workshops held over the past 25 years. Even if there were such a framework, there is need for periodic review because of rapid developments – primarily technological as well as economic and political.
