Catch that strong emotion that Apple lovers has about their gadgets and you can bring home an iBook, an iMac G5, or an iPod Nano,. Microwarehouse Inc., the leading distributor of networking, mobile and digital devices, announces the Apple of My I Photo Contest for professional and amateur photographers and photo enthusiasts.
Ms. Cynthia Veloria, President of Microwarehouse says, “Apple lovers are very passionate about their gadgets. In fact, for most of them, their Apple products define their unique digital lifestyles. Now, it’s up to the photographer to communicate through their photos this kind of passion that Mac users have,”
If you’ve been stuck in a dilemma of whether to purchase on iBook or not, join this contest and see if the iBook of Microwarehouse is giving out is meant for you. All you have to do is take a photo of an individual, a couple or a group of people with at least one (1) Apple product (Powerbook, iBook, iPod, Apple desktops and the like).
The photo must creatively express the subject/s unique, personal and special love, devotion or loyal preference for their Apple product/s. also, the Apple product must be naturally visible in the photo – meaning it cannot be digital placed their via post-production work. Only minimal digital enhancements made on color, brightness and the like will be allowed.
There will be two categories for this contest: Public i or Celebrity Apple lovers and Private i for Non-celebrity Apple lovers.
The entries will be judged according to the following criteria: Composition, Aesthetic and Technical Aspects (30%); Relevance to the given theme (30%); Overall Impact of Photograph (20%) and Creativity (20%).
What’s at stake? For the Public I Category, winners of first, second and third place will receive an iMac ‘G5 (photographer) and 2G black iPod Nano (celebrity subject); 60G balck iPod Video (photographer) and 1G iPod Shuffle (celebrity subject); and 30G black iPod Video (photographer and 1G iPod Shuffle (celebrity subject).
For the Private I Category, winners of first, second and third places will receive an iBook (photographer) and 2G white iPod Nano (subject); 30G white iPod Video (photographer) and 1G iPod Shuffle (celebrity subject); and 4 G white iPod Nano (photographer) and 1G iPod Shuffle (celebrity subject).
There will be a culminating photo exhibit in honor of this contest, happening from February 21, 2006 to February 26, 2006 at the Ayala Center. The winners will be announced February 21, 2006.
