| Intel Launches New Platform Brand in RP |

Intel Philippines unveiled a new brand identity that represents a significant milestone in the company's history and further signifies the company's evolution to a market-driving platform solutions company. The new brand identity involves changes to the widely recognized Intel Inside logo that was created in 1991, and the original Intel "dropped-e" logo. Intel's new logo combines the essence of both of these powerful symbols, building on Intel's rich heritage, yet also signaling the new direction the company is headed today. It also includes a new tagline: "Intel. Leap Ahead."
Intel Philippines Country Manager Ricky Banaag said that with the new logo and tagline, Intel will now focus more on its new platform rather than just its technology that will boost wireless computing and advance digital entertainment.
During the press briefing, Intel Philippines also announced their new branded platforms: Intel Viiv (pronounced "vive" and rhymes with "vibe"), Intel Centrino, and Intel Centrino Duo powered by the Intel Core Duo processor.
