Snowcapped mountains, frost-covered trees, a half-man half-goat creature with an umbrella, a centaur, a mean looking witch dressed in white and riding in a sleigh. These are just some of the sceneries, things and creatures that greeted individuals brave enough or curious enough to step inside the giant wardrobe last January 7 and 8 as Nestlé Koko Krunch and Powerbooks transformed the Glorietta Activity Center into the mythical land of Narnia, the setting of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," the classic tale written by C.S. Lewis which was turned into a major motion picture now showing in theaters nationwide. In fact, if not for the leftover holiday decorations and the regular hustle and bustle of a shopping mall on a weekend, one would have thought of actually being in the land where "it is always winter but never Christmas."

As early as 10 in the morning, "Sons of Adam" and "Daughters of Eve" were seen tugging their parents to the different booths, nooks and corners which featured activities such as an Encounter with the White Witch, where kids had their pictures taken with a live White Witch; a Narnian Face Painter’s Alley, where kids had their faces painted to be transformed into a Narnian creature of their choice; a Narnia Arts and Crafts booth, where kids showed their talents in drawing and coloring their favorite Narnia scene with Koko and the Narnia Snowball Dive corner, where kids won goodies by diving into a pool full prize-laden balls.
There’s also the Narnia storytelling corner and the Narnia Bookland by Powerbooks, where different editions of the Narnia books were showcased. And at the center of the virtual Narnia is a very familiar landmark to all Narnia fans, a lamppost, flanked by a centaur and one of the most beloved characters in the book, the half-man, half-goat, Mr. Tumnus, the faun. The creatures magically come to life every time kids shout the magic word, KOKO!
The kids and their parents didn’t seem to mind the long queues for the different activities as they were entertained with a variety show on stage. Hosted by television personalities Drew Arellano and Iya Villania, the show featured games, a singing performance, a magic show and a spectacular staging of excerpts from "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" by renowned theater group Trumpets.
