By JUANITA G. TRINIDAD

The country’s national leaders will join evangelist Franklin Graham in a breakfast forum this morning at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel.

Invited to grace the forum are President Arroyo who is expected to deliver her response, Bishop Ephraim Tenedero, Bishop Fred Magbanua who will lead the prayer for the nation, Dan Cura of the Far East Broadcasting Corporation, Don Bagatsing and Dr. Andrew Liuson, the CNBC Asian Business Leaders 2005 awardee. Graham will keynote the event.

Franklin Graham, a son of evangelist Billy Graham, is in Manila "to deliver Christ’s message of salvation."

His first festival in Asia - the Metro Manila Franklin Graham Festival - is scheduled on Feb. 2-5 at the Quirino Grandstand of the Rizal Park. The festival is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. from Feb. 2-4 and at 5 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Each year, the young Graham holds at least five evangelistic festivals worldwide.

In preparation for the Manila event, volunteers are conducting prayer rallies and training sessions to receive the anticipated large crowds at each night of the festival.

Graham said that "he will use the Philippine festival as a gateway to more festivals in the region."

His Metro Manila festival is part of a worldwide mission to mobilize the greatest number of people "to hear the Gospel and be invited to respond, to be disciplined and integrated in the local Church to worship and serve the Lord."

Graham’s visit to the Philippines was made possible by the evangelical Christian churches in the Philippines, composed of the Alliance of Baptist Councils, National Council of Churches in the Philippines, Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches, Philippines for Jesus Movement-Jesus is Lord Church, and the Independent Churches and Christian Organizations, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
