Information technology excellence in any field, discipline and industry has always been the main objective of AMA Education System (AMAES). It is for this reason that the AMA IT Olympiad was established five years ago. The biggest IT Olympiad aims to challenge the regional schools of AMAES to bring forth their knowledge and expertise in IT.
"The Olympiad is a very good venue to discover IT competencies among the country’s high school students. This is a good springboard for students to compete internationally and eventually become IT experts which the country can be proud of," said AMAES Chairman Emeritus Amable Aguiluz V.
For his part AMAES President Amable Aguiluz IX said the Olympiad has helped promote the cause of the IT industry and created awareness that IT education is a very integral part in the Philippines’ economic progress.
The Olympiad is inviting all public and private high schools to join this very prestigious contest which AMA Computer University pioneered in 2002.
Qualifying teams from across the country will be selected to advance to the Regional Elimination. The finalists will have a chance to win and participate in an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the National Championship. The three winning teams at the National Level each will receive a trophy for their school and more than R1, 000, 000 worth of cash prizes, rewards and scholarship grants.
Come and be part of a grand and premier event dedicated to the advancement of IT education and technology.
