Is the ordinary Filipino prepared to handle the 12% E-VAT?
Now that the 12% Expanded Value Added Tax (E-VAT) has taken effect, the question raised by many is how prepared the ordinary Filipino. The government said that the new law has provisions to cushion the impact of rising global oil prices on domestic consumer prices and reduces excise tax on kerosene, diesel and bunker fuel. But most people say otherwise.
