Vista for Security
Microsoft's Jim Allchin suggested that you upgrade to Microsoft's upcoming operating system, Vista, for its safety and security ( http://news.com.com/Allchin+Buy+Vista+for+the+security/ 2100-1012_3-6032344.html?tag=nl ). Personally, I agree with Mr. Allchin. Microsoft Vista was designed with security in mind and not as an after-thought, like all the Windows operating systems to date. However, what does it take for you to upgrade to Vista?

It's another slide phone from Samsung, which is probably an upgrade to the D500. Though I'm not a fan of camera phones, this one caught my ears instead.

Oracle cuts 2,000 jobs as part of Siebel deal

Months after I’ve written the series on Smokey Mountain, I still get inquiries from people interested to help the parish and its projects. Two weeks ago a stranger called me up at work asking for a copy of the articles. He was particularly interested on the e-church, which incidentally had its groundbreaking ceremonies last month, and told him it was available on the web. But he told me he couldn’t find it there, which took me by surprise. Since he was so eager to get a copy, I just told him that I’d have the articles photocopied and for him to pick them up, which he did.

In the last two articles in Hardcode, I discussed how you can develop a not-so-ordinary guest book and we will still continue working on the guest book until such time that we have done all that we can think of. This time, we are going to work on the administrator panel that will allow the administrator to manage the guest book entries.

This columnist works in customer service, a field I find to be quite demanding as we do not only have to attend to our every guest's concerns, we are also expected to answer telephone calls with finesse and know common Asian greetings ('anyong haseyo' is an example). Some people call it a no-brainer job but unknown to them, it can also be stressful and exacting. In this kind of environment, imagine my surprise when I found out that I had an officemate who was actually deep into blogging.
