The L'amour Collection: Nokia 7360

John Allyza Marie

In the past, I have had good experiences with Nokia's cellphones. They have quality-trusted products and the public embraces their designs. I was surprised to see the new production of Nokia in a commercial: The L'amour Collection. The commercial specifically emphasizes the new backgrounds and wallpapers. I was excited upon receiving this product because of the impression of the advertisement.

I scrutinized the phone and found it's design rather interesting. I received the Nokia 7360 with brown and black colors, and with some silver and blue linings. The package contained a charger (obviously), a manual, earphones, and, to my surprise, it came with a pouch and a phone strap. The pouch and the strap were brown, like the phone. I guess that must be it's uniform color. I like the design at the back of the case because it's partially leather-like structure. I found it helpful for keeping the product in good shape because of it's resistance to scratches.

The phone's size is just right for anyone's hand, but my friend who had big fingers told me she had trouble pressing the keypad. As for me, the buttons were just right. The phone is also slim and very light. It's compact size and light weight makes it more fashionable and more of an "eye candy" to trend-conscious men and women.

After opening and seeing the Nokia greeting, I saw what I was looking for. The "Aquarelle" theme. It was exactly as I saw in the commercial. There are several more themes than the flowery thing, but this one is the most beautiful. Pressing the menu button will lead you to the gallery, messages, contacts, call register, applications, the calendar, the mall...These are the normal features of Nokia cellphones. What I found interesting was the "Push to Talk" button. Due to certain limitations, I wasn't able to try this feature out although it certainly looks new.

One thing that surprised me is when I found out that the phone does not have bluetooth, only an infrared port. Other phones that I've encountered have both infrared and bluetooth connectivity. My Nokia user friends are also limited to only one connectivity--it's either a bluetooth or an infrared port.

The phone also contains an "integrated VGA camera", an FM radio, and some MP3 ringtones. I never looked better in photos than in here. Although I realized that a flash would certainly be more helpful when taking pictures indoors. And the "zoom" option will only be available after you take a picture and I found it hard to photograph things that are far from me.

The screensavers, wallpapers, graphics, and themes were the highest points. The themes were unique and copyrighted (you can't share them), and it helps makes your phone look very classy. Although five themes were only given, you can satisfy yourself by downloading more from the internet.

Nokia's 7360 is overall a stylish and a charming phone for all ages. It is easy to use, portable and is fun to share with friends. Nokia has once again conquered the cellphone business not only in quality and in design, but now also in fashion.
