As part of the requirements of third year AB Mass Communication students, a live talk show event with focus on journalistic experiences of media practitioners was held on October 29, 2005 at the multimedia center of the Basic Education Building.
The project "titled "Life Beyond Life" was aimed at applying the theoretical instruction in the subject of radio and television, principles and practices in a real-world manner. Media tricks of the trade like opening and closing billboards (OBB and CBB, respectively), as well as audio-visual productions (AVPs), were tried by the students. The instructor for the subject is Felma Tria.
Three media practitioners – radio broadcaster Reuel Saniel, RPN 9 Public Affairs Division director Dodi Lacuna, and People’s Journal columnist Primo Limbo – were invited to serve as the guests in the talk show, which was hosted by Crystal Tremblay and this writer.
Questions from the host, and later from the audience, ranged from political insights to previous experiences, and thoughts on recent media-grabbers, like safety of media men.
