The chi of ‘Good Luck, Good Fortune’
spacer

Citibank Philippines ushered in positive chi and prosperity for its CitiGold Wealth Management banking clients with its annual investment outlook talks held at its branches in Libis and Greenhills.

With the theme "Good Luck, Good Fortune," the seminar was held exclusively for CitiGold Wealth Management clients to provide them with helpful insights on global economic trends, investment forecasts and strategies, currency and market performance.

The Chinesethemed affair opened with a traditional wushu exhibition.

Citibank Philippines branch manager Chloe Medalla welcomed clients for Libis while Emily Santos did the same for Greenhills.

Sharing the latest on global financial information was Citicorp Financial Services and Insurance Brokerage Philippines, Inc. research head Mon Tejero, who presented some projections on what clients could expect this year from the investment climate both in the global and local environs.

Hong Kong-based geomancer Joseph Chau offered helpful tips on how to make the new Chinese Year of the Fire Dog become a year of harmony and balance.

Among the lucky businesses for 2006 are shipping, trading, transportation, and tourism.

Citibank Philippines raffled off Nokia cellphones, digital cameras and luxury watches to cap off the affair.

On top of providing comprehensive financial information, in-depth assessment and regular portfolio reviews to clients, Citibank Philippines offers an attractive range of high-yield deposit rates and complimentary premium gifts.

Its Withdrawable Time Deposit, for instance, allows clients to enjoy high yields and easy access to their funds. For a minimum placement of R500,000, a client can earn 6.5 percent annual interest rate.

Upon opening the time deposit, the client has the option to make placements in minimum values of R50,000, receiving as many as 10 certificates instead of just one.

Should he need cash, he can choose to withdraw only the amount needed, and leave the rest with Citibank Philippines to continue earning high interest.

The withdrawn amount, if pre-terminated one month after opening, will earn 4 percent interest per annum, a much higher yield than offered by regular savings and checking accounts.

Citibank Philippines also offers special Dollar Time Deposits that can earn 3.5 percent interest per annum for a minimum sixmonth placement.
