MANNY PACQUIAO’S popularity has dramatically spread all over the globe that England’s premier boxing magazine dubbed the Filipino southpaw as "The Legend Killer."
In the latest issue of Boxing Monthly UK, an article about Pacquiao appeared inside the pages, but a picture of him on the front page was published alongside heavyweight sensation Hasim Rahman.
A teaser on the internet said: "Manny Pacquiao becomes the first man to stop both (Marco Antonio) Barrera and (Erik) Morales and tells us he isn’t finished yet in his quest to become the world’s No. 1 fighter."
A story on Pacquiao was brought about by the GenSan puncher’s smashing knockout win over Morales last Jan. 21 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao had stopped Barrera in Nov. 2003 in San Antonio, Texas, and is raring to prove that the victory was not a fluke.
But before he does that, Pacquiao will have to contend with Morales in a third fight sometime in October or November this year.
Pacquiao is revving up for the rubber match with Morales with a tuneup fight probably against Oscar Larios sometime in June or July at the Araneta Coliseum, venue of the 1975 classic Thrilla in Manila.
Whatever happens to Barrera and Morales in the remainder of their fighting days, they are sure to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
