The municipal government of Navotas will hold “Kalinga sa Kabataan,’’ a project which offers free sports clinic and arts workshop this summer for the benefit of the youth.
The sports clinic offers training in such sports as karatedo, taekwondo, arnis and swimming under the tutelage of instructors from the Philippine Karatedo Federation and other sports groups duly accredited by the Philippine Sports Commission.
A summer workshop for acting, dancing, and basic drawing and lettering will also be conducted by instructors and graduates from the Philippine Education Theater Association (PETA).
The activities will run from April 3 until May 29.
“This is one way for everybody, particularly students, to spend the summer vacation constructively,’’ Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
Kalinga sa Kabataan is a project of the Navotas Youth and Sports Affairs. Interested applicants may apply at the Public Information Office at the first floor of the Navotas Municipal Hall. (Ed Mahilum)
