The answer to prayers ESUS said to His disciples "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives, and the one who seeks, finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asks for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask Him.

Hazards A FEW years ago, while cruising along Paseo de Roxas, in Makati, I passed by a building under construction, just in time to see the ropes of a workers’ gondola snap and the flimsy structure explode into smithereens as it hit the pavement below. I saw the lone worker in that gondola grab the jagged edge of the rough concrete floor; his survival instinct served him well. There he was hanging in mid-air, paralyzed with fear until his companies rushed to pull him to safety. In a flash, a human being could have perished, leaving widow and orphaned children. I shall never forget that spine-chilling scene.
