The Department of Justice (DOJ) presented its surprise witness this afternoon before the DOJ panel conducting the preliminary investigation on various rebellion cases.

Television reports showed Jaime Beltran Fuentes alias "Ka Bogs" and "Ka James" wearing a bullet-proof vest and dark glasses with a pulled-down hat and a polo shirt draped over his head to mask his face. 

After Fuentes signed and affixed his fingerprints on his affidavit which could link opposition solons and other political figures to the underground Leftist movement, he was immediately removed from the room for security reasons. 

He was identified as a security officer of Vicente "Vic" P.  Ladad, one of several personalities included in the list submitted by the Philippine National Police to the DOJ as found guilty of rebellion/insurrection.
