CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) has received a boost in its effort to maintain the city’s peace and order.
This came after the Philippine National Police Regional Command 10 in Camp Alagar deployed an additional 50 police officers to the city to beef up the present strength of COCPO.
Newly appointed Supt. Antonio C. Montalba presented the policemen to City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano during the morning’s flag raising ceremony at the City Hall.
Supt. Montalba said that the additional policemen were ordered to join the COCPO pursuant to Special Order Number 572047, which takes effect immediately.
In line with this, Mayor Emano welcomed the 50 policemen who will be fielded to the various community police precincts in the city even as he disclosed that the number only represents a fraction of the 200 police officers that he requested as reinforcements for the city’s police force.
Mayor Emano thanked PNP-10 regional director Gen. Florencio Baguio and his deputy director for operations, Supt. Antonio Enteria, for acting on his request to add more policemen and helping him realize his goal of making COCPO one of the finest police forces in the country.
The mayor assures the policemen of his full and absolute support while hoping that they can work well together as partners in making Cagayan de Oro a safe and peaceful place to live in.
