Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College
The Our Lady of Perpetual Succor School (OLOPSS) opened in 1978 as a one-room day care center along Bayanbayanan Avenue in Concepcion, Marikina. It was founded by a husband-and-wife team of Dionisio Alonzo Salvador, Sr. and Carmen Caday Salvador from Laoag, Ilocos Norte. It was in response to the need for more schools in Marikina, which was then one of the choice locations for many expectant homeowners.

Scouts join regional jamborette, Marikina – Incheon Scout's Camp
A group of eight OLOPSC senior and junior scouts formed part of Marikina’s contingent in the Joint Central Luzon Region and the National Capital Region Jamborette held at the Industrial Park, Subic, Olongapo City last December 26-30, 2005. They were Jeffrey Sabado, Cyrille Santiago, Amante Buenafe, Aaron Natividad, Benedict Torrente, Jaybeeson Jagong, Ian Daniel Angeles and Kevin Nabong. They were chaperoned by adult leaders and teachers, namely Arnulfo Araneta, Corie Kaine Nadiahan, Elda Mortega , Cecil Hernandez, Ryzza Flores and Metro Manila East Council Scouting Coordinator Marijo Flores.

An English affair: A literary exposition
The High School English Department presented a musical play titled "An English Affair: A Literary Expositon at the school gym in January. In the said activity, excerpts from classical literary pieces like "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, "The Chieftain’s Daughters" by Palanca award-winning playwright Felix Clemente, and "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo were revived by young thespians who showcased their talents not only in acting but also in singing and dancing.
